Forbidden Cargo Télé Romans - Page 1 |

| In the early 196Os a French publishing company
produced a series of books called "Télé Romans",
which translates roughly as "photo novel". The cover below
indicates that this issue, No. 7, appeared on 26 August 1963. These
magazines illustrated popular American television shows of the day in a
slightly primitive, grainy photo style, somehow lifted from the videotapes
of the period. As you will see as you scroll through these pages,
the faces also appear to have been touched up by artists. The second
story in these issues illustrated a television show called Captain David
Grief, which I confess I had never heard of. IMDb says it screened
from 1957 to 1959. Coincidently, one of the guest stars in the episode
illustrated in this issue was Todd Griffin, who appeared with Irish McCalla
in She Demons (1958). Click
